J&K Govt Arranges Bus To Evacuate 20 Residents Stranded In Bihar

Srinagar, May 10 : In a swift action, the J&K government has evacuated twenty persons stranded in Bihar and they have boarded a bus on Sunday to reach home.

Officials told news agency that following information to Sarmad Hafeez (IAS), Secretary Youth Services and Sports Department, the officer immediately contacted the District Magistrate Patna for all measures needed for evacuating the stranded.

Subsequently, they said, a bus was arranged and all these 20 persons, 18 of them from Anantnag and two from Srinagar districts of the Valley, boarded it. Soon after their arrival to J&K, necessary measures as warranted under covid-19 protocol would be undertaken before they are allowed towards their destinations. (GNS)
