SRINAGAR/JAMMU, Dec 26: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Thursday ordered a major reshuffle of Incharge (I/C) Executive Engineers in the Power Development Department (PDD) in the interest of administration and to ensure smooth functioning of official work.
According to Government Order No. 180-JK(PDD) of 2025, issued by the Power Development Department and dated December 26, 2025, as many as 14 Incharge Executive Engineers have been transferred and posted with immediate effect across various power corporations including JPDCL, KPDCL, JKPTCL and JKPDC.
As per the order, Mohd Shafi, I/C Executive Engineer presently posted in Division-I, Planning Circle, JPDCL, has been transferred and posted as Executive Engineer, ED-Kathua, JPDCL, replacing Surinder Kumar. Surinder Kumar, who was serving as I/C Executive Engineer, ED-Kathua, JPDCL, has been shifted and posted as Executive Engineer, STD-II, JPDCL, Jammu, in place of Sanjeev Rohmetra.
Sanjay Gupta, I/C Executive Engineer, ED-III, JPDCL, Jammu, has been transferred and posted as Executive Engineer, TLMD-IV, JKPTCL, Jammu, against an available vacancy. Meanwhile, Sanjeev Rohmetra, I/C Executive Engineer, STD-II, JPDCL, Jammu, has been posted as Executive Engineer, Division-I Planning Circle, JPDCL, vice Mohd Shafi. He has also been assigned the additional charge of Executive Engineer, ED-III, JPDCL, Jammu, and will continue as the Nodal Officer for PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana till further orders.
In another significant move, Marir Hussain, I/C Executive Engineer, Generation Division Ganderbal, JKPDC, has been transferred and posted as Executive Engineer, STD-IV, Kalakot, JPDCL, against an available vacancy. Zahoor Ahmad Rather, I/C Executive Engineer, ED-Sumbal, KPDCL, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Executive Engineer, Generation Division Ganderbal, JKPDC, in addition to his own duties.
The government has also transferred Mohd Yousuf Mir, I/C Executive Engineer, ED-Anantnag, KPDCL, and posted him as Executive Engineer, TLMD-IV, JKPTCL, Kashmir, against an available vacancy. Fayaz Ahmad Shah, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as Executive Engineer, ED-Anantnag, KPDCL, vice Mohd Yousuf Mir.
Similarly, Qaisar Khalil Qadri, I/C Executive Engineer, STD-Bijbehara, KPDCL, has been assigned the additional charge of Executive Engineer, ED-Bijbehara, KPDCL, besides his own duties till further orders. Aijaz Muzaffer Runga, who was also awaiting posting, has been posted as Executive Engineer, ED-IV, Khanyar, KPDCL, against an available vacancy.
In Srinagar, Bilquise Draboo, I/C Executive Engineer, STD-II, KPDCL, has been given the additional charge of Executive Engineer, ED-Awantipora, KPDCL, in addition to her existing responsibilities.
In a notable swap, Sushma Rani, I/C Executive Engineer presently posted as Technical Officer (T.O.) to Chief Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL, Jammu, has been transferred and posted as Technical Officer to Chief Engineer (Transmission), JKPTCL, vice Sukhdev Singh. Correspondingly, Sukhdev Singh, I/C Executive Engineer, has been posted as T.O. to Chief Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL, Jammu, vice Sushma Rani.
Further, Rouf Ahmad Bhat, I/C Executive Engineer, ED-Doda, JPDCL, has been assigned the additional charge of Executive Engineer, STD-Doda, JPDCL, alongside his existing duties till further orders.
The order has been issued with the approval of the competent authority and signed by Shailendra Kumar, IAS, Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Power Development Department. All transfers and postings shall take effect immediately.
