Srinagar, Nov 15: The Jammu & Kashmir Government will provide ₹10 lakh for each deceased and ₹1 lakh for the severely injured in the Nowgam accidental blast, said Minister for Health, Medical Education, Social Welfare, and Education, Sakeena Itoo, during her visit to Chansar in Kulgam.
Minister Sakina Itoo visited the family of Arshid Ahmad Shah, who lost his life in the tragic incident, to express solidarity and extend heartfelt condolences. She assured the bereaved family of full support from the Government during this difficult time.
She, as per Kashmir Dot Com, said that, following the directions of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, the ex-gratia relief has been sanctioned from the CM’s Relief Fund as a mark of immediate succour — ₹10 lakh for each deceased and ₹1 lakh for the severely injured.
During her visit, Minister Itoo interacted closely with the family, offering comfort and describing the incident as deeply unfortunate and shocking. She also prayed for peace for the departed soul and courage for the family to bear this irreparable loss.
