Srinagar, May 4 : Jammu and Kashmir reported one new covid-19 case in the last 24 hours, the lowest in 23 days, officials said on Wednesday.
The lone covid-19 case was reported from Jammu district, taking the overall tally to 454072—166351 in Jammu and 287721 in Kashmir. There was no case reporte din J&K on April 11 last.
There was also no death due to the pathogen reported in the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4751 persons have succumbed to the virus—2328 in Jammu and 2423 in Kashmir.
Besides, they said, 10 Covid-19 patients recovered, nine from Jammu division and one from the Valley, during the time. So far 449263 people have recovered, leaving the active case tally at 58— 29 in Jammu and 29 in Kashmir.
The officials told GNS there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 7534 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K. (GNS)
