Selection trials for boys and girls to be held at M.A. Stadium, Jammu, from September 11 to 13

JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 4: The Roll Ball Association of Jammu & Kashmir has announced the schedule for selection trials to pick the J&K boys’ and girls’ teams for the upcoming 18th Junior National Roll Ball Championship, scheduled to be held in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, from September 17 to 20, 2026.
According to a press release issued by the Roll Ball Association of Jammu & Kashmir, the selection trials will be conducted on September 11, 12 and 13 at the M.A. Stadium Skating Rink, Jammu. The trials will be held for both boys and girls with the objective of selecting the players who will represent Jammu & Kashmir at the national-level championship.
The association has made it clear that only players registered with the Roll Ball Federation of India will be eligible to participate in the selection trials. Aspiring players have accordingly been advised to ensure that their registration requirements are completed before appearing for the trials.
The association further stated that players who are selected for the J&K teams will have to undergo a mandatory coaching camp before departing for Coimbatore. The coaching camp is intended to provide the selected players with an opportunity to train together, strengthen team coordination and prepare themselves for the highly competitive national championship.
The selection process is expected to provide young Roll Ball players from across Jammu and Kashmir an opportunity to demonstrate their skills and compete for a place in the UT teams. The participation of both boys and girls also underlines the association’s efforts to provide competitive opportunities to young athletes in the sport.

The Roll Ball Association of Jammu & Kashmir said the selection trials will be conducted under the observation of the J&K Sports Council, adding an institutional dimension to the process of selecting the players who will represent the region at the national championship.
The 18th Junior National Roll Ball Championship in Coimbatore is expected to bring together young Roll Ball players from different parts of the country, providing the J&K contingent with an important platform to test its skills against the best junior talent at the national level.
The association has urged eligible and interested players to make use of the opportunity and participate in the trials. With the selection process scheduled just days before the national championship, the selected players will subsequently undergo the mandatory coaching camp before travelling to Coimbatore.
The trials will thus mark the first major step towards finalising the J&K junior Roll Ball teams for the national championship and giving promising young players an opportunity to represent Jammu and Kashmir on a national platform.
