Srinagar, June 22: Deputy Director Metrological Department Srinagar Mukhtar Ahmad said on Thursday Jammu and Kashmir will experience a heatwave until June 23, after which the weather will change.
Mukhtar as per Kashmir Despatch said from June 24 onwards, there are chances of light rainfall and cloudy weather in parts of Kashmir.
He said there may also be chances of thunderstorms and lightning for a short period during this period.
Pertinently, The hottest day of the season in Srinagar was recorded on Wednesday with temperatures reaching 34 degrees Celsius
