J&K Transforms into Peaceful Haven under PM Modi’s Leadership: LG

Jammu, Feb 20 : The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, stated that the days are gone when Kashmir used to shut down for months due to incidents of stone pelting. Now, people are enjoying life to the fullest.

Addressing a large gathering during a rally in Jammu where Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited, LG Manoj Sinha as per Kashmir Despatch said that there has been a massive transformation in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He mentioned that people are now enjoying their nightlife, playing guitars and having a great time.

He said that the days when the youth used to resort to stone pelting are behind us. A new era of happiness, development, and prosperity has dawned under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

LG Sinha highlighted that under the leadership of PM Modi, Jammu and Kashmir has seen significant development, prosperity, and peace prevail in every corner.

He mentioned that in the last five years, Kashmiris have been able to enjoy their rights and live their lives according to their own preferences.

Speaking about terrorism, LG Sinha stated that calendars, once used to call for strikes, have now completely vanished. The requirements of militants have almost diminished, and the incidents involving militants have decreased with the elimination of top militant commanders. Now Kashmir is issuing calendars of a peaceful Kashmir.

Furthermore, schools and colleges are now open throughout the year, providing ample opportunities for education.

He said that now people can enjoy their nightlife, visit theaters and restaurants, and credited PM Modi for bringing about positive changes in the region.

Pertinently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch multiple development projects, including for education, railway, aviation and road sectors, worth Rs 30,500 crore.

He will also distribute appointment letters to about 1,500 newly recruited government employees of Jammu and Kashmir and interact with beneficiaries of various schemes as part of the ‘Viksit Bharat, Viksit Jammu’ programme.

Among the railway projects that Modi will inaugurate are the railway line between Banihal-Khari-Sumber-Sangaldan (48 km) and the newly electrified Baramulla-Srinagar-Banihal-Sangaldan section (185.66 km).
