Baltal, July 2 , 2026:In a heartwarming gesture reflecting the centuries-old Kashmiri tradition of hospitality and the enduring spirit of communal harmony, the Jammu and Kashmir Employees Coordination Committee (JKECC) and the Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Association ( JKTA ) today extended a grand traditional welcome to the first batch of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatris on their arrival in the Kashmir Valley.
A JKECC and JKTA delegation led by its President and Chairman of JKTA, Shah Fayaz, received the pilgrims with traditional garlands, bouquets and showers of flower petals, conveying a message of love, peace and universal brotherhood.
On this solemn occasion, Shah Fayaz said, ” Shri Amarnath Ji Yatris are our esteemed guests. Welcoming them is not merely a tradition but a reflection of our cherished values of hospitality, humanity, communal harmony and universal brotherhood. Shah Fayaz, accompanied by members of the JKECC and JKTA delegation, interacted warmly with the pilgrims, enquired about their well-being, and assured them of every possible support and cooperation throughout the pilgrimage. The delegation wished all devotees a safe, peaceful and spiritually enriching Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
Shah Fayaz was also full of praise for the district administration Ganderbal and the Police Department and other security for ensuring high quality arrangements for Yatris and foolproof security provided for the safe and smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage.
The Jammu and Kashmir Employees Coordination Committee and JKTA believe that the composite culture of Jammu and Kashmir has always stood for mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and interfaith harmony. The organisation reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to strengthening communal harmony and fostering an atmosphere of peace, unity and mutual trust.
