JKIFTS Concerned on efforts of Tracing & Quarantining

Sringar Mar 28: The J&K innovation of Foundation in a statememt today said that administration should pace up its efforts in contact tracing the individuals who are having contact history with the suspected or positive cases of Covid-19, and should enhance measures in quarantining those who have a recent travel history to outside J & K and abroad.


While talking to Kashmir Despatch  Dr Tasaduk the Chairman JKIFTS said “As per sources many individuals across the state particularly in Kashmir, who have recently came from abroad are hiding their travel history to get refrain from screening and quarantining.”


He said that administration should take adequate measures in tracing those individuals, screen and quarantine them accordingly. He further added that administration need to pace up its efforts in contact tracing the individuals who have a contact history with suspected or positive cases of Covid-19, as only few percentage of the people who are under observation – have been tested so far.


Meanwhile the association has urged the respective public health authorities to pace up the speed of testing as per World Health Organization recommendations, as effective contact tracing, quarantining and adequate testing are the key components in combating the spread of Covid-19″. He said.
