Sringar Mar 18: Dr Tasaduk Hussain Itoo, Chairman J & K Innovative Foundation for Transforming Society ( JKIFTS) today said that months long communication blockade in erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir has severely affected the human life and negatively impacted on crucial sectors like economy, education in general and healthcare in particular.
Dr Tasaduk Hussain in an exclusive chat with Kashmir Despatch Correspondent, said that Fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitution of India include the right to equality Article14, The right to freedom of speech and expression Article19, and the right to life and liberty Article 21)l which guarantees not only the right to life and liberty, but also the right to health, right to a safe environment, right to education and right to live a life with human dignity.
He further told Kashmir Despatch that” it is matter of concern that people are accessing to mobile internet with such a minute speed from nook and corner of erstwhile state after long internet choking.
Meanwhile the present digital era in times of technological advancement has seen a paradigm shift in in every advancement of life and internet revolution, by converting whole world into global village, however the people of Jammu and Kashmir are going through a fragile phase due long last internet gag.
The ongoing high speed internet shutdown is seen as longest ever wittnesed in any part of globe, which began on August 5 when centre has scraped the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcated the state into two Union. Territories, has now crossed hundreds of hours shutdown, as the previous blockade in 2016 uprising was 240 hours, however here in Kashmir high speed internet gag has dunting the economy and Education badly.
Meanwhile Dr Tasaduk has urged the governor administration to take due cognizance of the Honourable Supreme Court’s verdict that came recently regarding the months long communication blockade in Jammu and Kashmir since abrogation of Article 370 and should restore the full-speed 4G mobile internet services in all districts of Jammu and Kashmir as soon as possible.
He further said that during these times of Coronavirus scare, being properly informed is vital to remain safe and access to full speed mobile internet is the crucial need for the same. He said that “I hope we shall not be furthermore denied of the fundamental right of access to full speed internet in today’s times of technological innovation and digital revolution”, he added.
