JKML leader booked under PSA in Sopore

Sopore, July 28: Authorities on Tuesday booked Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML), under Public Safety Act (PSA) in north Kashmir’s Sopore town.

Official sources told Kashmir Despatch that authorities slapped the public safety act (PSA) on Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML), Farooq Ahmed Tawheedi son of Abdul Aziz Bhat of TawheedBagh Sopore and shifted him to Kotbalwal jail in Jammu.

As per police sources, Tawheedi was acting chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League was released in 2019 in a case registered under FIR 136,13/2019 US 147/148/336/407/IPC However, he was re-arrested by police on July 13 and a fresh FIR was registered against him with FIR vide no 69/2020 13 ULA and on Tuesday he has was slapped with PSA.
