JKMPCL announces increase in milk procurement prices

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 31: Jammu & Kashmir Milk Producers Co-operative Limited (JKMPCL) has announced the increase in the prices of milk procurement by Rupees 20 per kg of milk in Kashmir region.

According to Chief Executive Officer JKMPCL Manoj Kumar, the milk producing farmers will be paid Rupees 720 per kg of milk, which comes to Rupees 31.58 per Kg of cow milk having 3.5% Fat and  8.5% SNF.

He said that the milk producers are being paid 20 per cent more as compared to National Level procurement rate.

He further said that the new prices will come into effect from tomorrow the 1st November. He said that JKMPCL has almost doubled its Milk procurement volumes and is envisaging to expand milk procurement base by way of incorporating uncovered Dairy villages in Jammu & Kashmir.
