‘Omar Rather is an imposter’

Srinagar, August 22 : The president of Jammu Kashmir People’s Movement (JKPM) Feroze Peerzada Saturday said that party raised three to five Lakh rupees money during crowdfunding last year, which is nothing in comparison to what other political parties have made.
The issue of crowdfunding to Jammu and Kashmir Political Party has been in news since the former president of the party Shah Faesal resigned from his position.
While recently a Facebook user by the name of Omar rather raised the issue about the funds that were collected during the crowdfunding for the party, which has caught the attention of both common masses and as well as of that the JKPM party workers.
Talking exclusively to Kashmir Despatch, JKPM new president Feroze Peerzada said “Omar Rather is an imposter, and he is not the member of the party which is claims to be.
Sometimes he introduces himself as provisional secretary of the party and sometimes state secretary of the party which he is not.”
He said that the party is clueless at the moment for which party he works but it’s sure that he is working with some other political party and is creating unnecessary confusion publically.
“If that person was truly a well-wisher of Shah Faisal, he wouldn’t have raised the fundraising issue on his Facebook post and on top of that he also tagged fifty people to that post and it was only because of that post everybody is raising eyebrows on the party without even knowing the truth of that person and also about the funds,” said Feroze.
He further said that the money raised by the party during crowdfunding was just three to five lakhs which is nothing in comparison to other political parties who raise money in crores.
“Shah Faisal did not want anyone to owe the party that is why he never took money from influential persons, who later could have claimed that party belong to them. Also, that is the reason why we preferred crowdfunding”, he added.
“Money was used judiciously and given to those who needed it and naming them would be an insult to the party. Shah Faisal is a man of dignity and he always used to stay that JKPM is peoples party as he never worried about money”, he added.
“The value of the politics has been downgraded and I want to make it clear that we have no nothing do with Delhi or with Pakistan. We are peoples’ party and we will continue with our motive”, he added.
