JKPM Demands Peace on LOC

Date:

Srinagar, November 16: J&K Peoples Movement Vice President Advocate Syed Iqbal Tahir has expressed deep concern over the recent casualties on both sides of LoC. He further impressed upon the leadership of both countries India & Pakistan to initiate dialogue and restore ceasefire.

In a statement issued here, he said that deaths of innocent civilians from J&K and on the other side of the line of control is very sad and unfortunate.

“In the past 73 years while both India and Pakistan have fought various wars and continue to fight amongst each other causing human loss and loss of property with no end for the suffering of people. We urge the government on both sides to sit across the negotiating table and resolve all issues” Iqbal Tahir said in his statement.

We demand that the administration should provide immediate relief and compensation to the victims including the construction of underground bunkers.
