‘I was never part of NC’

Srinagar: Deputy Mayor Srinagar Municipal Corporation, (SMC) Parvaiz Qadri on Friday alleged that the SMC Mayor Junaid Mattu and one of the corporators Sheikh Imran were promoting corrupt practices in the corporation.
Speaking with the Kashmir Despatch Correspondent, Parvaiz Qadri accused his two colleagues in the Corporation, of having failed to do any serious work for the betterment of SMC and especially for the people of Srinagar city.
He said earlier both of them were working separately, but now together ‘they are engaging in corrupt practices.’
The Deputy Mayor Srinagar, while reacting to his affiliation with the National Conference, said he was never associated with the NC.
Reacting to the 5G tower scam, he replied, saying a case in this regard has already been registered by the Crime Bracnch and the police is doing its work.
He said after the completion of investigation in this matter, everyone will come to know about the facts of the matter.
