Kanispora residents protest against PDD

Sopore, Dec 22 : Residents of Kanispora area of Baramulla in North Kashmir’ on Saturday staged a protest demonstration and demanded repair of a damaged transformer in the area.

Residents while blaming the administration for not attending to their grievances which in result they are facing immense hardships without electricity in the area since past one week.

Residents while alleged PDD department for failed to repair damaged transformer and said that in the absence of electricity their children are most affected as they are unable to prepare for examinations.

The protesting residents said they would be forced to launch an agitation if their grievance were not resolved at earliest.

However a team of police reached the spot and assured the protestors that matter will be taken to higher authorities.

Meanwhile authorities at PDD department Baramulla when contacted told that we have recieved damaged transformer few days back and our efforts are on to redress the geneuine grievances of the people of Kanispora, officer said that within days area will get transformer.
