Kashmir bound Students Stuck in Rajasthan; appeals J&K government for their return

Srinagar, Mar 29: As now the fair is looming over the globe and everyone is run for saftey, a group twelve Students from Kashmir have appealed to Governor administration of Jammu and Kashmir state to facilitate their return from Jodhpur Rajasthan who have been their for CSIR-NET coaching at IFAS (Institute for Advanced Studies) Sector-B Saraswati Nagar.

Meanwhile a student namely Aqib Ahmad hailing from North Kashmirs Sopore town told this Kashmir Despatch correspondent over phone from Rajasthan that “we have been caught in the antiquaited maze of excluvist administrative mind set, as no one coming forward for our rescue” he said.

The students have alleged that “our Situation is like we are in the middle of nowhere. We don’t have food to eat, our market is long back shut. No mall, no shop even no venders are available. We have to wait for our meals (Tiphin Service) at least for ten hours and they too are going to stop the service at any time. How are we going to survive. They added.

As the pendiuem outbreaks in most of the states in India, the Union Government had directed all state administrations and Union Territories to cancel all official stuffs including immidate closing of Universities and Colleges across the country, the aggrevied students have been directed to leave the institute till further orders. However the stuck students had been left on their fate as their was no transport or any other mean available, which puts all of them in great dilemma and distress. The aggrevied students said.

Another student namely Suhail who hails from South Kashmir told this Correspondent over phone that ” We are depressed here from last week, as no one is coming to our rescue, Please rescue us! we all want to go back to our homes as soon as possible. We are waiting for your immediate response. He told Kashmir Despatch

A student who wished anonymity told Kashmir Despatch that “my father is earning from ‘hand to mouth’ how he can manage such a huge amount for me to book a cab in this uncertainty and broken down. The students told Kashmir Despatch in view of Covid-19 and they are stuck and can’t move outside as all roads are sealed and closed, besides suspension of air services. We have no meals from morning, as we have nothing to eat” the aggrevied students told this correspondent.

Another student namely Ishtiyaq told Kashmir Despatch that students are facing tough time and the whole country is under lockdown and appealed government of Jammu and Kashmir to help them and facilitate way so that they will rerun to their native places.

The students also added that they are voluntarily willing to keep themselves in quarantine for safety of entire community as they will reach the valley.

Meanwhile few days a back a large number of anexious parents have demanded to Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor GC Murmu for his intervention to promptly arrange the transport for evacuation of their wards who are presently stuck in different parts of the country, as the Union Goverenment had given orders for complete lockdown in view of pendiuem.

Meanwhile dozens of Parents have been waiting for their wards for their return via Indigo airline, however the authorities have told them that all scheduled flights had been cancelled, which have created more panic and confusion among parents, as their were rucks at airport terminal where anexious parents are randomly inquiring about the flight schedule, however the parents have too alleged that the airline Authorities are not refunding the payment to our wards for their personal interest.

Meanwhile the Governor administration has urged the Students who are outside to remain their for sometime, however the Students find it hard to accommodate their due to financial constraints, as well as they are unable buy their essential commodities in view of bandh.

” Kindly take our voice to concerns authirities so that we cab reach our home, said a deprived student to this Kashmir Despatch Correspondent”.
