Srinagar, Nov 02 : The Directorate of Health Services in Kashmir has announced the suspension of all transfers, deployments, and staff attachments until the implementation of the Government’s new Transfer Policy.
According to an order, a copy of which is with Kashmir Despatch, the directive was issued by the Hon’ble Minister for Health and Medical Education during a review meeting held on October 29, 2024. The order states that no transfers, deployments, or attachments of staff should occur, nor should any such cases be processed, until the Transfer Policy is formally enacted by the Government.
The order specifies that in cases where a transfer or deployment is essential for patient care within Government Health Care Institutions (hospitals), prior approval must be obtained from the Administrative Department through the Directorate for Gazetted staff and from the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir for Non-Gazetted staff before proceeding.
All Chief Medical Officers, Medical Superintendents, Block Medical Officers, and other subordinate heads of departments are hereby enjoined to ensure compliance with this directive in both letter and spirit.
Failure to comply with the order will result in disciplinary action, as stated in the announcement.
