Srinagar, June 19 : Kashmir on Friday morning witnessed another COVID-19 related death, taking the fatality count due to the virus in J&K to 73.
Medical Superintendent SKIMS Professor Farooq Jan told Kashmir Despatch that a 79-year-old man from Noeshara area of Srinagar with travel history Saudi Arabia and contact history died of this infectious diseases on Thursday night. He said patient was admitted on 08 June with hypertension, T2DM , Hypothyroidism with B/L chest infiltrate.
Pertinently, Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday recorded three deaths due to this virus in a day, among two from Shopian and a Srinagar resident.
With this fresh death the toll rises to 73 in the union territory of J&K.
