Srinagar, Mar 04 : After winter, Spring season is also going to be the busiest period of Kashmir tourism as travel agents get bulk bookings for upcoming months.

Despite a prolonged dry winter period, the late snowfall revived winter tourism in Kashmir as the majority of the hotels and houseboats were occupied for February.

As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), now the travel agents of Kashmir are busy with the bookings for the Spring season, which is anticipated to witness an enhanced flow of tourists.

Spring is traditionally considered one of the best times to visit Kashmir, as the region undergoes a breathtaking transformation with the blooming of tulips, almond blossoms, and vibrant wildflowers across its lush valleys.

Travel agents claimed that they are receiving bulk bookings for the months of March, April and May.

“We are expecting a good season ahead. Bookings are coming in bulk for Spring months. We are witnessing a significant increase in inquiries and bookings for the upcoming spring season. People are eager to experience the unparalleled beauty of Kashmir during this time of the year, and we are ready to provide them with memorable experiences,” said President Travel Agents Association of Kashmir (TAAK) Rauf Ahmad Tramboo.

In anticipation of the surge in visitors, travel agents in Kashmir have been busy curating special packages to cater to diverse interests and preferences

“Preparations are going on to cater to the huge rush of tourists. While February has been a nice month for Kashmir tourism, March also looks promising. For April, May and June, bookings are coming in bulk,” Tramboo said.

To accommodate tourists’ varied needs, travel agents offer a range of customizable packages that include accommodation, transportation, guided tours, and outdoor activities.

Additionally, special discounts and offers are being rolled out to attract more visitors and boost tourism in the region.

“During the Spring season, places like Badamwari, tulip garden and city outskirts remain major attractions. So, we modify and include all these places in our packages for the Spring season. In addition to it we also provide a good discount to our tourists,” said Umar Ahmad, a travel agent—(KNO)
