Kesari new poster out: Akshay Kumar ready to face 10,000 Afghan soldiers. Internet is in love

Move over Khans, 2019 belongs to Khiladi of Bollywood! With five films lined up, Akshay Kumar is planning to show his versatility this year.

Known for great choice of films in the recent past, the actor has yet again picked an interesting storyline. This time, he has turned into a proud soldier for The Battle of Saragarhi (1897) in his upcoming period drama Kesari.

With the new poster released, Akshay can be seen standing all alone in front of 10,000 Afghan soldiers holding a sword in one of his hands.

Singh Is Kinng actor took to Twitter to share the fresh poster of his upcoming film. He wrote, ”Unraveling the pages of history to the bravest battle ever fought. #GlimpsesOfKesari from tomorrow, are you ready?”

It was in October 2017 when Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar joined hands for this ambitious project. Since then, the actor can be seen sharing his journey on social media.

Akshay Kumar is essaying the role of Havildar Ishar Singh, who led the regiment in Saragarhi battle and defended his post against the army of 10,000 Afghan soldiers and even managed to successfully stop two attacks.

Also starring Parineeti Chopra, Kesari is slated to release on March 21.

On the work front, this year, Akshay Kumar will be seen in Mission Mangal, Good News, Housefull 4 and Sooryavanshi.
