Bandipora, July 15: NHPC Limited’s Kishanganga Power Station recorded its highest-ever daily energy generation of <8.172 million units (MU) on July 13, 2026. The previous highest single-day generation was 8.13 MU, achieved on July 25, 2023.
Power Station Head and General Manager (In-charge) Rajesh Ranjan attributed this achievement to the effective leadership of the NHPC Corporate Headquarters and the dedicated efforts of the power station team, which continues to work with coordination and team spirit even under challenging conditions. He said the team’s determination and commitment enable it to achieve demanding operational targets.
The technical team, along with the operations and maintenance staff and contractual workers, played their respective roles with sincerity and dedication. Their consistent efforts, hard work, and strong sense of responsibility were instrumental in achieving this milestone.
The achievement reflects the power station’s commitment to maintaining high standards of performance in the future and continuing to contribute to the country’s energy security. It is also expected to inspire the station to achieve even greater milestones in the years ahead.
