Srinagar, Sep 16: The University of Kashmir (KU) Monday mourned the demise of Saboora Arsheed, daughter of Arsheed Hussain, a resident of Arihal, Pulwama, who passed away on Saturday.
In honour of her memory, the Department of Biochemistry organised a condolence meeting here. Faculty members, non-teaching staff, research scholars and students attended the condolence meeting. All attendees shared their grief over this tragic loss and offered prayers for her soul.
In her condolence message, KU Vice Chancellor, Prof Nilofer Khan, expressed her heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family, praying for patience and strength to endure this immense loss.
“We are deeply saddened by losing Saboora Arsheed. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time. We hope that they find strength and solace, and we pray that her soul finds eternal peace.”
Head, Department of Biochemistry, Prof Shajrul Amin, remembered Saboora Arsheed as a bright, dedicated and hardworking student “who exhibited a profound passion for her studies and aspirations”.
The university community observed one-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
