Baramulla November 03: The vice Chairperson of KVIB on Tuesday opened a facilitation center in Watergam of Rafiabad area.
An Introductory meeting of Rafiabad Watergam Development Forum, with Vice Chairperson KVIB, J&K, at Town Watergam.
The representatives of all Tehsils and CD Blocks put forth their demands before the signatory, especially unemployed youth of the areas has brought into her kind notice that financial assistance for setting up units may kindly be sanctioned at the earliest.
Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat has dedicated KVIB sub Office at Watergam which will function from today, Citizens of Rafiabad and Zangair thanks Vice Chairperson Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat, for Establishment of KVIB Branch at Town Watergam.
Chairman Auqaf Committee, Welfare Committee, Parker president of Tehsil Watergam have thanked Vice Chairperson KVIB, Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat, for opening KVIB Branch at Watergam Rafiabad of District Baramulla with the planning, promotion, organisation and implementation of programs for the development of Khadi and other village industries in the rural areas in coordination with other agencies engaged in rural development wherever necessary.
The Dr Hina Bhat said to KNSA, response to PMEGP scheme from Baramula District has been outstanding. 1067 applications received online out of which 924 applications have been forwarded to banks involving loan component of 24 crores. Subsidy to 212 units have already been released to the tune of Rs 480.94 lacs till date, envisaging employment opportunities for 1696 persons.
People of the area welcomed with warm welcome, they said, “Opening of a J&K KVIB branch in Watergam Rafiabad which is a business hub in north Kashmir, was a long pending demand of the local populace and traders community.”
