Labour slips to death in South Kashmir

Srinagar, July 12 : A 26-year-old labour slipped to death into river jehlum in South Kashmir’s Dogripora village on Sunday.

Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said a 26-year-old labour slipped into river jehlum at Dogripora in South Kashmir’s Ananthnag district on Sunday when he was working near extracting sand in the river.

Reports said a team of police reached the spot and with the help of locals retrieved the dead body from the river.

A police officer also confirmed this incident to Kashmir Despatch and identified deceased labour as Mohammad Zubair Tantary son of Abdul Qadir Tantary of Tarala Jageer of Rajouri District.

The officer said a case has been registered and further investigation has been initiated.
