Ladakh recorded nine fresh COVID-19 cases on Thursday, taking the infection tally to 20,625, officials said.
The number of active cases in the Union Territory stands at 40, including 38 in Leh and two in Kargil district, they said.
Ladakh has registered 207 Covid-related deaths — 149 in Leh and 58 in Kargil — since the outbreak of the pandemic last year.
Five patients of coronavirus were discharged from hospitals on Wednesday, taking the tally of those cured from the infection to 20,380. The recovery rate is 98.8 percent, they said.
All the new cases were reported from Leh, they said.
A total of 1,875 sample reports in Ladakh, including 514 from Leh and 1,361 from Kargil, were found negative, they said.
No Covid-related death was reported in Ladakh on Wednesday.
