Srinagar : The administration in the Union Territory (UT) of Ladakh on Thursday announced the start of the winter vacations in the University of Ladakh and the constituent degree colleges of Kargil and Leh from December 16, 2021.
A statement of the Registrar Leh University of Ladakh Imteeaz Kacho said, winter vacations of University of Ladakh and the constituent Degree colleges shall be observed in two camps of University of Ladakh and Constituent degree colleges from December 16, 2021 to February 15, 2022.
He however, said that the non-teaching office staff of University of Ladakh, administrative offices and campuses as well as those of constituent degree colleges will remain on duty during the vacations.It has also been directed that the faculty staff will attend their respective campuses and constituent degree colleges whenever the need arises.It is pertinent to mention here that Ladakh UT is in the grip of severe cold conditions with the minimum temperature plummeting at Leh to minus 10.0 on Thursday.
