Man dies after falling from running truck
Srinagar, May 23: A lady in Srinagar outskirts set herself on fire on Saturday.
The incident occurred at Telbal, Hazratbal area of Srinagar outskirts.
Police sources told news agency that a lady (name withheld) wife of Sajad Ahmed Wani sprinkled kerosene on her body and set self on fire. She suffered grievous burn injuries and died in the hospital.
Police have taken cognizance of the case and set investigation into motion.
Meanwhile, a man from South Kashmir’s Anantnag district died in a mishap in Srinagar on Saturday.
Police sources said that a person identified as Muhammad Iqbal Kohli son of Abdul Rehman of Verinag Anantnag fell down from a running truck in Sanat Nagar area. He died on spot.
Police registered a case in this regard. (KNT)
