Kupwara: Although the govt. spent crores to beautify the surroundings of the hospital across Kashmir valley but the scenario in Kupwara hospital is quite oppositive than other hospital functioning in the valley.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said that Sub District Hospital in north Kashmir’s Frontier District was assessing damage after a hose pipeline got damaged in an old building and caused a water leak which is quite noxious and irked patients and their attendants coming to the hospital.
Mohammad Rafeeq a patient told Kashmir Despatch that the damaged hose pipeline stinks the surroundings which causes huge inconvenience to the patients and their attendants coming to the hospital. He said that with this leakage the condition of the hospital is worse and the concerned department is unmoved.
Bashir Ahmed another patient talking with this newspaper, science itself says dirty surroundings are the root cause of multiple health issues even though doctors are treating one problem and patients are taking along with them some other health issues which are quite disgraceful and it is such a sweet gift given by hospital authorities here. He while appealing the hospital authorities to look into the matter and clear this mess at earliest so that patients here in this hospital will not suffer more and will get a feasible service.

He said that I have not received any complaint yet regarding the water crises and hose pipe leakage, still, I will look into this matter.
While answering related that Unani Doctor is serving as Gynecologist in the hospital BMO said allegations are certainly baseless we do have our professional gynecologist who is performing their task in an absolute manner. Meanwhile, during meeting hours we are inviting professional Unani doctors to take part in a meeting for sharing their views/feedback for the betterment of the services hospital is providing.
He further added that in records it is nominated as a district hospital but professionally we are way far behind. “Lack of services, manpower, facilities, types of equipment and digital tools.
He while appealing the general public to cooperate with the department till the time all the needs and requirements get fulfilled.
