Srinagar, Feb 22 : Peoples Democracy Party (PDP)  chief Mehbooba Mufti Monday said that Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir must do his duty and that she will do her own adding that “if police plans to arrest her for her work, so be it.”

“Let IGP Kashmir do his duty. I will do my job the way I am doing. If police wants to arrest me for what I am doing, so be it,” Mehbooba told reporters at her Gupkar residence after being re-elected as the PDP chief. Interestingly, in his recent presser, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar without naming any politician had stated that some political leaders were instigating people by spreading false rumours. He had stated that police won’t hesitate in preparing a dossier and if needed, action would also be taken against such politicians.

The PDP chief said that she continue to strive hard to take forward her father late Mufti Muhammad Sayed’s mission and vision. “I want to see the end to sufferings of people that include denial of body of a slain son to his father. I won’t allow Kashmir to become a ring of war for India and Pakistan and instead Kashmir should become a bridge of peace between the two nations. Dialogue is the best way to resolve issues,” she said—(KNO)
