Local militant arrested in Sopore

Sopore : Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested a militant in North Kashmir’s Sopore village.

Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said in a joint operation launched by Army’s 22 RR, SOG Sopore and CRPF in Janwara area in Sopore a local militant was apprehended.

SSP Sopore Javeed Iqbal also confirmed this development to Kashmir Despatch and said that a local militant identified as Sadam Ahmed Mir of Brath was apprehended during joint operation, he said that one pistol was recovered from his prosession. Officer said that a case in this regard has registered and further investigation has been initiated.
