Lockdown extended in Ganderbal for 3 days

Ganderbal, August 16: The administration in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal extended lockdown in the district for three more days amid in rise in Covid-19 cases.

As per the order issued by District Magistrate Ganderbal a copy of which lies with Kashmir Despatch reads, Whereas, there is spike in number of COVID-19 Positive cases in
Ganderbal from last few days.

Whereras, it has been reported that public unnecessarily visit the Market(s)
and violate the SOPs/adversories in vogue; and
reas, due to surge in COVID-19 Positive Cases and non-adherence to SOPs/Adversories the Ganderbal residents have become more susceptible of COVID-19.

Whereas, it has been felt expedient to break further transmission of COVID- 19 and has become imperative to take stringent precautionary measures by completely restricting the movement in Ganderbal district w.e.f Monday 17th ugust, 2020 to 19 August, 2020 (Wednesday).

Therefore, in view of above, I Shafqat lqbal (KAS), District Magistrate Ganderbal, in exercise of powers vested in me under the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897, the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and Section 144 CrPc, do
hereby order as under.

That there shall be complete lockdown in district Ganderbal from Monday 17th August, 2020 to 19th August,2020 (Wednesday) except for Medical emergencies.


Any person(s)}/group(s)institution(s) found violating the directions contained
herein this order shal be booked under the provisions of relevant act/rule/law the statement reads.
