GANDERBAL, APRIL 27: The Youth Services and Sports (YSS) Ganderbal in collaboration with the District Election Officer Ganderbal and the Nodal Officer SVEEP, organized a grand cycle race for girls under the age of 14 in Zone Tullamulla of the district.

The race, held under the Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program, was aimed to promote awareness among the youth about the importance of voting in a democracy.

The race commenced from Baroosa Crossing, winding its way through the picturesque Central University of Kashmir, and concluded at GHSS Tullamulla.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from young girls, showcasing their cycling prowess and commitment to civic engagement.

Senior officials of YSS expressed their appreciation for the initiative, highlighting the significance of educating young minds about their electoral rights and responsibilities.

The officials commended the meritorious girls who participated in the race, underscoring their role as future leaders and active citizens.

In addition to the cycle race, Zone Hariganiwan organized inter-school chess and Yoga competitions for both boys and girls, fostering strategic thinking and sportsmanship among students.

Meanwhile, Zone Kangan hosted an enthralling inter-school chess competition exclusively for girls, promoting gender equality and empowerment through sports.
