Man held for hurting religious sentiments : IGP Jammu

Jammu, August 19: Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh on Wednesday said that a man has been arrested for hurting religious sentiments.

In a Tweet Singh said, A man identified as Mohammad Zahid son of Abdul Rashid Rather of Champa Batote has been arrested for posting objectionable comments on Facebook there by hurting the religious sentiments of a particular community.

The tweet further reads, A case under FIR no 48/2020 U/S 295-A/153-A/IPC registered at police station Batote and investigation taken up.
