
Man injured in bear attack in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Oct 22 : A 55-year-old man sustained injuries after being attacked by a wild bear in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Thursday.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said an elderly man identified as Alif-ul-Din Bijard son of Abdul Jaleel Bijard a resident of Baba Nagri Wangat was attacked by a wild bear when he was in his orchards when the incident took place.
When he raised an alarm, people nearby rushed to his rescue, and drove away the bear.
Meanwhile, he was rushed to the nearby hospital where doctors declared reference him to SKIMS Soura Srinagar for advanced treatment.
A police officer told Kashmir Despatch that a case in this regard has been registered.
