Manjit Singh welcomes SC stay on three farms bills

Date:

Vijaypur, Jan 12: Former Minister and Apni Party Provincial President Manjit Singh today hailed the stay of Apex Court of India on the implementation of three farms bill in the country.

In a statement, Manjit Singh said that the decision has vindicated the stand of farmers from the country especially Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and other states who were opposing the bills from last many months.

“The Union Govt should withdraw the bills in the interest of the farmers without further delay. These bills were anti-farmers and they have no relevance,” Manjit Singh said.

He said that the farmers of J&K were equally concerned about the bills and the intervention of the Supreme Court was a welcome step for the farmers.

“The farmers should not be called with different names since they are bread earners of the country and they should be supported at these difficult times,” he said.

He said that the Govt of India should understand the farmer’s concern and do not play in the hands of the big businessmen.
