Manoj Sinha likely to resign as J&K LG, to contest Lok Sabha polls: Sources

Srinagar, Apr 08 : Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha is likely to resign from the post and is likely to contest Lok Sabha polls on BJP ticket from Uttar Pradesh’s Ghazipur constituency, sources said on Monday reported news agency KNS.


Sources in the know of this major development told news agency KNS that Manoj Sinha is likely to step down as Lt Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to contest Lok Sabha polls.


They said that former Army General and senior BJP leader VK Singh and former CEO of NITI Aayog and India’s G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant are the frontrunners for the post of J&K Lt Governor.


Sources said that serious deliberations have been going on within the top brass of the BJP to field Sinha from Ghazipur constituency reported news agency KNS.
