Party President to contest election from Ananthnag West
Qazigund : The Jammu and Kashmir Nationalist People’s Front (JKNPF) on Monday held yet another successful convention in South Kashmir’s Qazigund.
The convention was presided over by Party President Sheikh Muzaffar Ahmad.
On the occasion General Secretary Ashiq Hussain, Tariq Ahmad Pro President, Shahid Hussain District President Ananthnag, Reyaz Ahmad District President Pulwama, Mohammad Amin Sofi Ganderbal Incharge were also present.
A huge gathering of people from all walks of life took part in the day-long convention despite the rain at town hall Qazigund.
Addressing the gathering Party President Sheikh Muzaffar said that JKNPF has realistically empowered the common man of J&K while discarding the traditional political ways of family hegemony and nepotism.
He said people from all walks of life, irrespective of their caste, religion or gender can join Jammu and Kashmir Nationalist People’s Front and lead the valley towards a better future.
Muzafar said the Party leadership is connected with the people and understands their pressing concerns and demands.
On the occasion, prominent social and political activists including Nadeem Ahmad Khan of Qazigund, Azgar Hussain Bhat of Nussu Badragund, Bakthwar Ali Khan of Qazigund, Majid Ali Khan of Qazigund, Mohsin Khan of Qazigund, Atta Mohammad, Altaf Hussain Bhat, Nawaz Ahmad Shah of Vessu Qazigund, Farooq Ahmad Mir of Qazigund Nopora , Aadil Ahmad Mir of Zadoora Mir Bazar and Mohammad Hussain Wani of Furrah joined the party.
Chief Patron Sanjay Kumar while welcoming the new faces to the party said JKNPF is working diligently on grassroots level for the mitigation of the public grievances.
“People are mature enough to understand the schemes of these political parties who acted mute spectators when people needed them the most. But now as the political atmosphere has turned feasible, they are once again trying to deceive the people. However, they stand exposed now,” Sanjay said.
He said on the demand of workers the party has decided that Sheikh Muzaffar will contest election from Anantnag west constituency.
“The love of people, the grassroot level of Sheikh Muzaffar can be seen in the demand of party workers. The party has nominated him to contest from Anantnag west assembly constituency,” Sanjay added.
