Srinagar, June 27, 2026: Demonstrating its unwavering commitment to providing quality healthcare services to the community, SKIMS Medical College & Hospital, Bemina, on the instructions of Hon’ble Health & Medical Education Minister, Ms. Sakeena Itoo, successfully organized a comprehensive Medical Camp at Imambadah, Khomeini Chowk, Bemina, from 6th Muharram to 11th Muharram, under the guidance of Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Fazlul Qadir Parray, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Shafa Deva.
This Camp had full support of Director SKIMS Prof. Dr. Mohd Ashraf Ganie sahab.
A dedicated team of CMO’s, doctors, nurses, dressers, pharmacists, and paramedical staff remained available round the clock throughout the six-day camp, providing medical care and emergency services to mourners participating in Muharram processions and religious gatherings. Essential medicines, first aid, emergency treatment, and referral services were made readily available to ensure timely medical assistance whenever required.
The camp catered to a significant number of patients presenting with dehydration, minor injuries, fatigue, and other health conditions commonly associated with the observance of Muharram. The medical team worked tirelessly to ensure prompt, efficient, and compassionate healthcare delivery throughout the camp.
Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Fazlul Qadir Parray appreciated the dedication, professionalism, and selfless service rendered by the healthcare personnel during the camp. He also expressed gratitude to the District Administration, Police, volunteers, Management Imambadah khomeini chowk for their support and all supporting agencies for their invaluable cooperation in ensuring the smooth and successful functioning of the medical camp.
Medical Superintendent, Dr. Shafa Deva, commended the coordinated efforts of the doctors, nursing staff, pharmacists, and paramedical personnel, whose dedication and commitment ensured uninterrupted healthcare services throughout the Muharram period.
