Srinagar, August 29: Jammu and Kashmir is likely to experience generally hot and humid weather over the next 10 days, with brief spells of rain and thundershowers at scattered places, the Meteorological Department said on Saturday.

The MeT has forecast intense showers at some places on August 31 and September 1, which may trigger flash floods, mudslides and landslides in vulnerable areas.
People living in vulnerable areas have been advised to remain alert and take necessary precautions during periods of heavy rainfall.
The weather department said the rain activity is expected to be brief and localised, while generally hot and humid conditions are likely to continue across Jammu and Kashmir.
