SRINAGAR, Nov 22:
The Medical Faculty Association (MFA) of Government Medical and Dental College (GMC/GDC) Srinagar on Wednesday strongly condemned the recent blast near Red Fort in New Delhi on November 10, which resulted in the tragic loss of innocent lives and left dozens injured.
In an official condemnation note issued by the association, the MFA described the incident as “agonizingly painful and deeply disturbing with no acceptance in any civilized society.” The Association expressed deep grief and extended solidarity with the victims and their bereaved families.
The statement further reflected serious concern over reports alleging the involvement of certain medical professionals in the incident. The MFA said such participation, if proven true, would amount to desecrating the sanctity of the noble medical profession.
“The MFA expresses deep concern over the alleged involvement of some medical professionals, desecrating the sanctity of this noble profession and reaffirms its unwavering and collective commitment to saving lives and serving humanity above everything else,” the note read.
The condemnation message was issued on behalf of the medical fraternity by MFA office bearers, including President Prof. Sajad Khanday, Vice President Dr. Riyaz Ahmad Lone, General Secretary Dr. Syed Sajad Hussain, Joint Secretary Dr. Ashiq Hussain Parry, Treasurer Dr. Nisar Ahmad Naikoo, and other representatives and senior faculty members.
The Association reiterated that no ideology or grievance can justify violence and called for unity against acts of terror that threaten peace and human values.
