Srinagar, July 9: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Thursday ordered a major reshuffle of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) officers belonging to the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territories) cadre, transferring several officers into and out of Jammu and Kashmir with immediate effect.
According to the official order, senior IAS officer Shahid Iqbal Choudhary (2009 batch) has been transferred from Jammu and Kashmir to Arunachal Pradesh. In a reciprocal move, Saugat Biswas (2006 batch) has been posted from Arunachal Pradesh to Jammu and Kashmir.
The reshuffle also brings Mamta Yadav (2021 batch) from Delhi and Ishita Rathi (2022 batch) from Puducherry to Jammu and Kashmir, while Swati Sheemar (2023 batch) has been shifted from Jammu and Kashmir to Delhi.
Among IPS officers, Tanushree (2017 batch) has been transferred from Jammu and Kashmir to Delhi. Several IPS officers, including Vishnu Kumar, Arshi Aadil, Tikam Singh Verma, K.M. Priyanka, Rajeev Kumar Ambasta, Deepak Yadav, Anand Kumar Mishra and Satish Kumar, have been posted to Jammu and Kashmir from different AGMUT segments. Meanwhile, Rajesh Kumar Sharma has been transferred from Jammu and Kashmir to Chandigarh, while Deepika has been moved to Puducherry and Gaurav Sikarwar to Goa.
The MHA said the transfers are effective immediately and are part of a wider administrative exercise aimed at strengthening governance and improving administrative efficiency across the AGMUT cadre.
