PULWAMA, Sep 1: Joint team of Security forces on Thursday busted a hideout of Jaish e Mohammad (JeM) in Tral area of Awantipora in Pulwama district of South Kashmir.
Police said in a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch “based on a credible input, Police in Awantipora along with Army (42RR) busted a militant hideout in the forest area of Syedabad Pastuna Tral which was subsequently destroyed.”
He said, Incriminating materials of proscribed militant outfit Jaish e Mohammad (JeM) and materials like edible items, utensils etc. were recovered from the said hideout.
“All the recovered materials have been taken into police custody for the purpose of investigation.” Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 140/2022 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Tral and further investigation is in progress.
