Sopore, April 10 : A 7-year-old boy among three was injured in a road mishap in north Kashmir’s Sopore town on Wednesday evening.
Reports reaching News Agency Kashmir Scroll that an accident took place at Nowpora Kalan crossing in Sopore when a two-wheeler (Scooty) bearing registration number JK01A 7637 hit a pedestrian child aged around 7 years and injured him critically.
Reports said that in the mishap, the scooter rider along with his two pillion riders were also injured, and all were immediately taken to the sub-district hospital in Sopore for advanced treatment.
A doctor at the hospital confirmed the incident and said that two of the injured, including a minor child, were referred to a Srinagar medical institution for advanced treatment.
He identified the minor injured child as Burhan Mohsin Wani, son of Mohsin Ahmad Wani of Nowpora Kalan, while the other injured were identified as rider Adil Ramazan Shiekh, son of Mohd Ramzan Shiekh of Model Town, Owaise Farooq Hajam, son of Farooq Ahamd Hajam of Arampora, and Sufyaan Riyaz Kaloo, son of Riyaz Ahmad Kaloo of Gusia colony Sopore.
Meanwhile, police took cognizance of this road mishap. (KS)
