Srinagar, April 03 :- A minor boy drowned to death in the river Jhelum in Bijbehara area of South Kashmir Anantnag district on Wednesday afternoon officials said.
Reports reaching Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Scroll said that a 06year old boy identified as Salil Ahmad Dar son of Latif Ahmad dar resident of Gadhanjipora Bijbehara drowned in river in his native area.
They said that the boy was evacuated and shifted to SDH Bijbehara where doctors declared him brought dead.
Meanwhile police have taken cognizance and started investigation.(KS)
