Srinagar, February 28 : Mutahida Majlis Ulema President Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, Dr Molvi Mohammad Umar Farooq, extends heartfelt greetings to the Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir and the global Ummah on the arrival of the blessed month of Ramadan.
He emphasized that Ramadan is a sacred opportunity to draw closer to the Almighty through fasting, prayer, reflection, and engagement with the teachings of the Holy Quran.
Mirwaiz highlighted the spiritual essence of this month, urging the faithful to embody patience, humility, and generosity.
He encouraged increased devotion to prayer, a deeper connection with the Quran, and acts of compassion and charity towards those in need.
He prayed for Ramadan to bring peace, joy, and spiritual growth to all.
Meanwhile, Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid expressed hope that authorities would desist from imposing any restrictions on Mirwaiz’s religious and tableegi activities, allowing the multitude of devotees to benefit from his sermons during this sacred month.(KNS)
