Mission YUVA: Two-day training programme for Yuva DOOTS concludes at Baramulla
BARAMULLA, APRIL 19: A two-day training programme for 173 newly appointed Yuva DOOTS under the Mission YUVA initiative of the Government of Jammu & Kashmir successfully concluded today at Baramulla.
The programme, organized by the District Employment & Counselling Centre (DE&CC), Baramulla, aimed to empower the Yuva DOOTS with the necessary skills and knowledge to serve as effective field-level representatives of the mission.
Assistant Director Employment Baramulla, DDM NABARD, Career Counselling Officer, besides Yuva DOOTS attended the training programme.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Baramulla, Syed Altaf Hussain, presided over the training sessions, emphasizing the importance of the Yuva DOOTS in addressing youth unemployment and promoting self-employment at the grassroots level. He described them as ambassadors of transformation who will help connect young people with meaningful livelihood opportunities.
Assistant Director Employment provided an overview of Mission YUVA, detailing the survey methodology, stakeholder convergence, and the critical role of data collection and follow-up to ensure success. The Career Counselling Officer also presented the district’s roadmap for implementing the initiative.
District Development Manager NABARD, briefed participants on various entrepreneurship support schemes and the importance of financial literacy and institutional linkages.
Nodal Officer from JKEDI, along with the Employment Officer DE&CC, demonstrated the Mission YUVA mobile app and portal, which will help streamline beneficiary registration, scheme eligibility tracking, and real-time status updates.
The interactive sessions were well-received, with participants engaging actively and sharing valuable feedback.
The two-day training programme concluded today, with participants expressing their gratitude and a renewed commitment to advancing the objectives of Mission YUVA in their respective communities.
