MLA Irshad Rasool Kar of the Sopore constituency visited the district tuberculosis Hospital today to assess the hospital’s infrastructure.
During his visit, MLA Irshad Rasool Kar reviewed the overall infrastructure of the hospital and engaged in comprehensive discussions with the doctors to understand the current facilities and explore opportunities for further enhancement.
On the occasion, the MLA stated, “This hospital is the largest tuberculosis hospital serving two districts, and patients from Gurez, Tangdar, Uri, and Kupwara come here, covering a population of around 17 lakh.” He noted there are around 250 tuberculosis patients daily, Including those with respiratory ailments. However, he mentioned that the infrastructure is very old and needs to be upgraded, and he will take the matter up with the health minister. He emphasized that the NC government will take every possible step to ensure the comfort of the people so that they can receive relief.
The visit demonstrates the MLA’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure in his constituency, aligning with the vision of the JKNC under the leadership of Omar Abdullah. “We will continue working towards ensuring the best possible treatment and services for the people,” said Irshad Rasool Kar.
Kar also praised the doctors and paramedical staff for their exceptional healthcare services, stating, “Kudos to the dedicated team for providing excellent healthcare to the people.”
