Moderate to heavy rainfall to continue across J&K till tomorrow evening: Met Dept

Srinagar: The MeT department on Wednesday said that moderate to heavy rainfall will continue across Jammu and Kashmir till tomorrow evening.

An official told Kashmir Despatch that the weather forecast was already expected to change after August 25 and so far everything is going with the prediction. While, moderate to heavy rainfall will continue in the region till tomorrow evening.

He added, “While in Jammu the intensity of rainfall will increase in tomorrow as the region has been declared as red and at the same time Kashmir has put on yellow alert”.

“Also there is no chance of floods in Kashmir; however in vulnerable areas flesh floods may occur. At the same time, there are no precautions measures for people in Kashmir as rainfall is quite normal. However residents of Jammu have to be careful as landslides and shooting stone may occur near the national highway”, he added.
