Reasi, Mar 03 : Four persons, including three minor children died when a landslide hit their Kacha house in Chassana belt of Reasi district in Jammu division, an official said on Sunday.
An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that family of four was buried alive as a massive landslide hit their Kacha house in Kunderdhan Chassana due to incessant rainfall. He said victims were asleep when a landslide occurred during the Sunday night.
“Mother and her three children died of the landslide, two others suffered injuries.” official said.
“Phalla Akther, wife of Mohd Farid, aged about 30 years, Nasima Akther, daughter of Mohd Farid, aged 5 years, Safeen Kousar, daughter of Mohd Farid, aged 3 years, and Samreen Kousar, daughter of Mohd Farid, aged 2 months, died on
the spot. Two persons, namely Kalu, son of Juma, aged about 60 years, and Bano Begum, wife of Kalu, aged about 58 years, got injured.”
He said all the bodies have been recovered br rescue parties while authorities are on the spot—(KNO)
